Waseem Ahmad Bhat

Jun 15 2026

I am Waseem Ahmad Bhat from Heerpora, Shopian, holding a postgraduate degree in Master of Social Work (MSW). I have consistently demonstrated a strong commitment to child welfare and community development throughout my professional journey.

I began my career as a Field Officer with the Heerpora Markhor Recovery Project, where I developed hands-on experience in community engagement and field-level implementation. I further strengthened my skills while working as a Social Worker with the Wildlife Trust of India, where I focused on nomadic and herder communities, supporting vulnerable families and addressing their socio-economic challenges.

On 1st October 2024, I joined Chinar International as a Field Monitor under the Parvaaz Program. Through dedication, consistent performance, and effective community engagement, I progressed to the role of Community Mobilizer under the Child Development Program.

Currently, I am actively working across three communities in Shopian, leading grassroots interventions, mobilizing communities, supporting child-focused initiatives, and ensuring effective program implementation. My work involves close coordination with families, children, and stakeholders to improve access to education, protection, and development opportunities.

With proven field experience, strong communication skills, and a deep understanding of community needs, I am committed to taking on greater responsibilities and contributing more effectively to organizational goals and child development initiatives.
